My Black Kyanite has those same red spots that were mentioned in another article. I always thought they belonged on it. Why would I want to remove them? Are those spots rust?
Hi P,
Thanks for reaching out to us. While your crystal may not be a flawless specimen, you should determine if the crystal is “right” for you based on your own feelings. I don’t believe that it matters if the crystal has rust on it or doesn’t. Most often I like to keep my crystals in the state that they come to me, flaws, rust and all. Like you, I also have Black Kyanite that has rust-colored spots on it, which is actually very common, but I prefer to keep it as it is and won’t be trying to remove the spots. As Tara said in the article you read (My Piece Of Black Kyanite Has A Bit Of Rust On It. Can I Clean It? Should I?) – “I would leave it for a while and see if how the energy feels to you. If the rust seems to be detracting from that then try a method to remove it. Sometimes what appears to our eyes as a flaw is really beneficial energetically so that is why I suggest working with it before you do anything to change it.” Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope your journey is blessed with Love and Light.
Crystal Blessings,
Stephanie A.
