One of our relatives has a child 2 years old and suffers from Down's syndrome and has speech difficulties. So I need your help - which stones are most suitable for such case to help him to be able to express or speak? Thanks a lot for your advice.

Good day, and thank you for contacting Healing Crystals with your question. First, I must advise you that I am not a medical professional and can neither diagnose illness nor prescribe medical treatments. Crystals should not be used as a replacement for medical care, but rather used as a complimentary therapy along with the treatment prescribed by your licensed medical professional.
I can think of 4 crystals that all work with the brain to aid healthy development of skills and thought processes. Some of them get pricey, so I'd suggest starting with the least expensive ones first: Amethyst (deep purple) and Selenite. Sugilite and Phenacite would be two other options, but as they are more rare, they are also more expensive. This also might take several months before any results are seen.
When used with small children crystals should be used in a manner that will not cause danger of the child putting them in his mouth and possibly choking on them. You can charge drinking water using the indirect method, or have the parent lightly massage the child's scalp for only a few minutes each day (no more than five minutes for babies and no more than 10 minutes for toddlers). If the child fusses or does not like the process, trust his reaction and stop the treatment. Even small children who cannot verbally express themselves know instinctively what crystals are and are not right for them in the moment.
