"Lithium Quartz" By Crystal CAT
Welcome to another edition of the Healing Crystals Newsletter and thank you for joining us! The subject of this month's article is Lithium Quartz. This rare and unique form of Quartz is strangely missing from many (but thankfully not all) of our wonderful crystal reference books, and yet it has so many positive characteristics that make it an absolute necessity for a growing number of energy workers who work with metaphysical crystals. Lithium Quartz Crystals can be recognized by the pink, lavender, and sometimes mauve color in and/or on a Quartz Crystal. The display of this color occurs as an inclusion of the mineral, Lithium, in Quartz. Lithium can often be seen as a phantom within the crystal, but can sometimes show up as a type of coating, and often as both. Lithium can also be found in combination with other minerals on or within Quartz, such as in Lithium-Golden-Healer Quartz, in which their individual properties mesh quite well. Lithium Quartz Crystals are found only in a remote area of Brazil, which adds to their specialness. Since this crystal is a member of the Quartz family, it should be cleared and (re)programmed on a somewhat regular basis, depending on how often it is used and in what capacity. However, I do not recommend using the Sun method for clearing this unique crystal as it may fade the color of the Lithium. The inclusion of Lithium in Quartz Crystal is the same mineral used in the common antidepressant, and the crystal carries similar qualities as the drug, but in a purer form, with no side-effects! While there are other stones that contain the mineral Lithium, such as Lepidolite, the effects of Lithium Quartz tend to be much stronger, which many speculate is due to the amplification of those effects by the Quartz. Lithium is a great crystal for those going through any kind of grief and/or depression. Many crystal healers like to use Lithium Quartz for its excellence in healing emotional issues. While it works with all the Chakras, Lithium Quartz can sometimes focus in on the Heart, Third-Eye, and Crown Chakras, which also contributes greatly to the emotional healing properties of this crystal. Lithium Quartz can help those who are longing for peace and calm, and who may be dealing with high levels of stress. Lithium crystals do such a great job at relieving stress and calming the overactive mind, that some of us here at Healing Crystals enjoy Lithium Quartz as a sleep aid, by laying down while holding the crystal. Lithium can also help those struggling to release attachments that no longer serve the highest good by helping one recognize the inherent perfection of the universe, and by opening one up to the knowledge that all is as it should be.
Since it carries the "Master Healer" properties of Clear Quartz, we like to suggest Lithium Quartz to those who are in need of multiple levels of healing. Lithium Quartz is a fairly rare crystal and works with all the Chakras, together or separately. It can activate them all as well, and it can facilitate healing by resolving energetic imbalances in the physical and subtle bodies. Lithium Quartz can often help those who have health conditions to see the root, emotional cause of the illness, to release these issues, and then open up to profound healing at the core. This function can ultimately help one to prevent future health concerns as well by staying alert to potential emotional causes before they occur. The tension relieving properties of Lithium Quartz can also bring its calming effect to the cellular level, making it a great healing agent for "hot" conditions such as infection or inflammation. Many energy healers use Lithium Quartz as an adjunct to their treatments by either placing a number of them under the treatment table or by letting their patients hold one or more crystals in their hands during the treatment.
The calming qualities of Lithium Quartz are commonly used by those "in the know" as an aid for meditation. Its wonderful, fine, Quartz vibration can help one to achieve a deeper level of meditation than what may have been thought possible. Often, the configuration of Lithium Quartz can lend itself to achieving a trance-like state by staring into the crystal and entering it with via the Third-Eye. Because lithium can activate, balance, and connect the upper Chakras, it can bring a synergy that is very conducive to these deeper states of the Higher Mind, and can open one up to a connection with the Universal Mind. Lithium's relaxing energies can often hold the desired state once it has been achieved.
By opening the heart Chakra, Lithium Quartz can be of help where there are relationship problems. By clearing blockages in the heart Chakra and bringing underlying causes to the surface, Lithium Quartz is said to help with the release of issues that hinder the relationship. Lithium's ability to relieve stress and bring peace can help in situations where the issues are so touchy that both parties find it difficult to be constructive with one another. By working with all the Chakras, Lithium Quartz can help bring root causes to light so they can be resolved, clearing the way for healthy relationship development to ensue. Just keeping one of these crystals around the home can help bring a serene vibe to the environment, amplifying the energy of love and enabling an awakening of the higher mind, contributing to a more peaceful home.
My own personal experience with this crystal has been varied, and has proven to me that it is most certainly useful as a healing crystal. For example, there have been many times when I suffered from insomnia and successfully used Lithium Quartz to fall asleep. I have also had people hold my Lithium Quartz Crystals while doing energy work on them, and noticed a definite improvement in their overall temperament and outlook on their personal situations. I have worked with this same calming quality during my own moments of high-stress moments with wonderful results, often bringing a deeply felt inner peace that had not been possible in the past. I also enjoy carrying Lithium Quartz with me any time I am anticipating a stressful or highly charged setting - such as in the workplace! Finally, I've noticed that any time I am having difficulty trying to quiet my chattering mind, I can always rely on Lithium Quartz to slowly bring mental activity down to a level that is more conducive to meditation.
This rare and unique stone has many wonderful uses that can enhance one's life experiences. Crystals containing lithium can help us to transform negative energies in our lives into positive ones, and can help to deflect these negative energies before they reach us. If you decide to acquire a Lithium Crystal of your own, we recommend that you take some time to attune yourself to this crystal before attempting any detailed or complicated work with it. As a Quartz Crystal, this stone carries the common Quartz property of absorbing and amplifying the energy put into it, which makes intention a very important component of one's work with it.
