Is the healing power of Aquamarine Crystals in fact influenced by the clearness of the crystal?
I read this quote from Michael Katz on another website: "Opaque and even moderately cloudy Aquamarine are not therapeutic. . Slightly cloudy Aquamarine can be therapeutic if it displays a radiant brightness and good color. Although slightly cloudy Aquamarine takes much longer to produce effects than clear Aquamarine, it may be preferable for people who need a more moderate pace of change. The energy of clear or nearly flawless Aquamarine moves rapidly into the aura and body, where it quickly begins to open awareness and reveal truths."

Thanks so much for your question about the effectiveness of opaque/cloudy crystals versus clear/flawless crystals. I know that you were specifically concerned with Aquamarine but this question really applies to all crystals.
Healing with crystals is not an exact science and much of what you read will be based on a mixture of experience and opinion. There are many who believe that the size and quality of a crystal will effect it's healing capabilities. I would strongly disagree based upon my experiences.
Every crystal is different and will have entirely different energies attached to it.
You could have 2 Aquamarines that both looked exactly alike but the are still very different and their energies will feel different. Similarly, every person is different and has different feelings and reactions to energy. Both you and I can hold the same crystal and it will feel differently to you than it does to me. This is why I don't like to support absolute statements when it comes to crystals. You might feel the energy of an Opaque Aquamarine more powerfully than you do a perfect, flawless specimen because that is the best crystal for you.
It is always valuable to read others ideas, opinions and advice when it comes to working with crystals but the most valuable tool that you have is your instinct. If a crystal feels right to you and it is helping you and that is all that really matters. Never let anyone else override your instinct when it comes to the right crystal for you and you can never go wrong.
