I'm very new at using stones for healing. I've ordered twice from your website according to whatever the issue is and have now just now read the cautions. I had no idea aluminum and other toxins are in a lot of the stones. Is it still okay to use them on your body for healing, but just not use it in water? Thanks for your answer.

Hi S,

Thank you for your questions, we received both of your emails and I'll combine them here to answer them.

It is generally considered safe to use stones that contain aluminum on the body and this is especially true if you are using the tumbled form of these crystals. We do not recommend making elixirs, (immersing these crystals in water and then consuming it) with crystals that contain aluminum. Here is a link to our crystal cautions page that gives more information about other crystals that may have toxicity issues. https://www.healingcrystals.com/Crystal_Cautions_Articles_1009.html

Tumbled stones and natural stones have different energies. I would not say one is stronger or better than the other, they are simply different. I find that I tend to buy natural (raw) pieces if it's something that I'm going to use to enhance the energy of a space, and tumbled stones if I'm going to carry them in a pocket or place them on the body.

I hope this helps!

Crystal Blessings!
Stephanie T.
