Hello. I have an interest in crystals. I just received a few and was looking for more information on them. I noticed that two of them are not listed in the Metaphysical Guide and would like to know if you have any information on them. These are Atlantisite also called Tasmanite and Peacock Ore also know as Bornite.

Dear S,

Thank you for contacting Healing Crystals with your question about Atlantasite and Peacock Ore. According to Judy Hall's Encyclopedia of Crystals, Atlantasite carries the properites of Serpentine, Infinite Stone (light green Serpentine) and Stichtite as well as having many properties of its own. She says that is beneficial for working with the Akashic Record to access skills and information from Atlantis, as well as for physical health issues such as pain relief, detoxification, absorption of calcium and magnesium and for teeth and gums.

Peacock Ore or Bornite is toxic and should only be used in its tumbled form. If you do touch it, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly immediately afterwards and do not use it to make elixirs unless you are using the indirect method of charging your water. According to the same book, it is good for cellular structures, protection against negativity and for opening one to their metaphysical abilities.

There is more information in the book than I can type here, and if you are going to be collecting more crystals, it is a good basic resource for identifying and learning about crystals.

Crystal Blessings,

Debbie Elaine
