I am purchasing several crystals to use for meditation for myself and my son, and I am also looking for one to keep in the center of my home to promote peace and happiness? Any suggestions you may have? Thank you!

Thanks so much for your question about a crystal that you can place in the center of your home to promote peace and happiness. I personally find a Clear Quartz and or an Amethyst to be excellent choices.
I have both but Clear Quartz is what I use to radiate positive energy throughout my home - and it's been doing a pretty good job! I keep them by my doors and windows also to allow nothing but the most positive energy to enter or exit my home and to keep the good stuff flowing while anything negative is transformed into something more healing. I use Amethyst as more of a meditation/spiritual tool since it is excellent for opening and energizing the Third Eye and Crown Chakra.
I would strongly suggest that you and your son take a look at our product page and see if a crystal jumps out at you - I believe the right crystal always comes to us as long as we are open to its energy.
Something more grounding like an Agate or a Jasper or even Lapis Lazuli might work with your families energy better than a quartz to help you find and maintain that peace and happiness.
Trust your instincts and remember that if you do choose another crystal that the Clear Quartz will work with it to amplify it's energy.
