I get a bit confused when it comes to Clear Quartz and Amethyst. I understand that Amethist cen ba used to cleanse and recharge other crystals, but does it ever need to be cleansed and/or charged (after the first cleansing when I bring it home)? Same question for Clear Quartz: does it ever need to be cleansed and/or recharged? I have an Amethist druse and a Clear Quartz geode.

Hello,

Thank you for your question!

Yes, both Amethyst and Clear Quartz need to be cleansed regularly. If you use them to clear other crystals, they need to be cleansed before and afterwards. I prefer to cleanse them under running water, since this is safe for both of them, and water is one of the most energetically beneficial means for clearing stagnant energy. Clearing with salt can be damaging to some crystals, and it greatly depends on the quality of salt. I have had an experience where I ruined three Clear Quartz crystals, even though they generally do well with this clearing method, as the salt I was using was too strong.

Clear Quartz can be used to both clearing and charging other crystals, especially if you program it for those purposes.
Here is an article on programming https://www.healingcrystals.com/Crystal_Programming...

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

We look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Crystal Blessings!
