I understand the concept of how certain stones can benefit certain conditions and believe that it occurs for some people. I don't understand why I've never experienced a big change in a condition by wearing, carrying or doing grids with recommended stones. I've collected more than 100 different stones, have read numerous books about healing with stones, and watched numerous videos about collecting, cleansing, and otherwise working with stones. I live in a somewhat small town and am not aware of others with this interest. How might I find a mentor to teach me?

Thank you for contacting us with your question about learning more about crystals. How very frustratring this must be for you! I have had some conditions for which crystals did absolutely nothing for my physical healing, but I found that I was more emotionally able to deal with the conditions or situations. And so, in those cases, the crystals were, I believe, healing on a non-physical level. Perhaps this has happened for you, but since it is not as easy to track as a relief of physical symptoms, you didn't realize that you were growing more spiritually or emotionally healthy through the process? Only you can really answer that.
There are some wonderful crystal healing courses available online, or through correspondence. Some are very expensive, and some are not. There are quite a few legitimate and very different ways to approach crystal healing--some more scientific and some more intuitive in their approach, so you'll want to check a few out to find what is the best fit for your personality and finances. Some to check out are Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy and Ashley Leavy with the Love & Light School of Medicine. Hibiscus Moon is more well known and Ashley Leavy is more affordable. Given that you don't feel like you respond much to the crystal energy, I'd suggest starting with Ashley Leavy as you can pick and choose courses and not pay several hundred dollars for something that still might not be the energy modality that works for you. Perhaps something else entirely like Reiki would be a better fit?
