We have received this question a few times and here is our reply:

Here are a few simple methods for “Clearing” your crystals of negative energy they accumulate. Crystals interact with your energy system and help by removing vibrations that do not serve your needs.  It is useful to remove these stored vibrations from crystals occasionally after use. Especially in a client setting, it is important to clear crystals regularly.

1. Hold your crystal under running water for anywhere from 15 seconds to a few minutes.

2. Bury your crystal in salt for a minimum of 12 hours. mortons iodized salt works although i prefer natural sea salt.

3. Bury your crystal in soil (a potting planter works wonderfully) for at least 24 hours.

4. Place your crystal in direct sunlight and direct moonlight for one full cycle. Make sure it is not cloudy for at least half of the time. If the weather isn’t cooperating, it just means that your crystals want to spend a few more days out in the fresh air.

5. Use Reiki or other healing modality energies, or just plain ole LOVE to send that into the crystal. This is one of my favorite prayers:

“I Give Thanks for the Service this Crystal has provided and now Give my Intent to
Clear this Crystal of All negative energies and Send these energies to the Earth to be “repolarized” and Return to the Earth Plane to Serve where that vibration is needed most.”
