Hi, I saw the recent Astrology Report (05/13-05/19/15) and noticed that Mercury Retrograde was not mentioned. My birthday starts off MR on the 18th, plus on the New Moon, AND I am traveling at least twice during MR (water, car & air). Any crystal advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for sending us your question about Mercury going retrograde and the New Moon. First of all ....Happy Birthday...second of all don't let Mercury's Retrograde cause you any concern during your travels, etc.
When Mercury goes retrograde it isn't meant to cause us problems...it is meant to enable us to slow down and relax and the best way to work with the energy is to go with it instead of fighting against. I travel all the time during Mercury Retrograde periods (will be this time also) and I just prepare by giving myself extra time, carrying extra supplies (like a book, magazine, water, snacks, etc. ) in case I do get delayed and I do not focus on it! This is very important...do not focus on it by thinking of all the things that could go wrong! Instead focus on what will go right and when things don't go as planned try to think of it as a bonus to your adventure. We create our own energy and if you think that the energy caused by Mercury in retrograde will work to your benefit then it will! The New Moon will start out in Taurus and end up in Gemini during it's 3 day cycle. It will give you an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate what you have (especially since it is on your birthday which is a natural time for reflection) and it will help you find peace and healing through your current circumstances.
I think you have some really nice energy to work with tomorrow so you want to see all of the benefits and if there are some slight mishaps and delays then be proactive and look for the positive elements. You are an Earth sign so you are most likely pretty grounded which always helps when you are dealing with fluctuating energies. I would suggest that you keep a good grounding crystal with you the whole time - I'm liking a Smokey Quartz and a Black Tourmaline for you.Apatite and/or Chrysocolla will help you find the peace in the Retrograde period and something green would be nice for your birthday and to attract good things in your new year.Green Quartz is my first pick for you but see what attracts you and go with that.
