Morning Jana,

What a heart warming way to open my day! So happy that you love the pendant--awesome!!

I did a little research on prolongation stuttering and stuttering in general. The articles I read agreed that this was a neurological and/or physiological issue and not psychological as was thought many years ago. Some suggest that during a child's speech formative years they tend to rush through thoughts or search for the right words which causes a temporary pause or repetitive skip in the brain (like when a record gets stuck). One of the main points in the articles stated that children tend to get anxious due to this challenge which can add to the issue.  With this in mind, let me recommend some stones that I feel can be of assistance.

There is a wonderful article on the website that suggests several stones that can be used for this issue. Click the link below to read the article in its entirety.

I highly recommend  Blue Apatite. This stone has a wonderful, soothing, gentle energy that can help one to speak with and easy flow. It also soothes any anxieties that may occur as the child is speaking. Apatite also enhances communication and self-expression on all levels.

Another stone I would recommend would be Blue Lace Agate. Blue Lace Agate enhances verbal communication and expression, helping one to be more discerning in their word choices. It is also a calming and soothing stone which can help with issues of anxiety and/or frustration.

I would also add one of the following in combination with the stone suggested for the condition which will help with self confidence and self esteem issues.
Chrysoprase
Citrine
Lapis Lazuli
Rhodonite
Rose Quartz
Ruby
Selenite
Tiger Eye, Red

In fact, I think placing some crystals under the child's pillow at night is a wonderful idea! Try a combination of Blue Lace Agate, Rose Quartz and Citrine. Carrying any of the blue stones suggested to school would also be a great help. Take a look at the links provided which will show pictures of the stones suggested. Let your daughter look with you. You may even want to let her choose the ones she likes the best. Choose the stones based on what resonates for you.

Of course, I must mention that I am not a doctor and cannot make any medical claims or guarantees. The suggested uses and metaphysical descriptions of the inventory items are our personal opinions and should be used at your discretion. These suggestions are not intended to be used as medical advice. If you resonate and like our suggestions and descriptions, please use them freely. However, if you don’t resonate or agree with any of them, please consider them for entertainment purposes only. We have done our best to represent the crystals and minerals accurately, and have chosen only high quality items that we would use ourselves. Please use your own intuition about what “feels” right for you.

Much love to you and your lovely daughter,
Kristi

  What fabulous advice!!!!

Green aventurine is also very good to treat a stutter as it brings an understanding of what lies behind the conditions, Lapis Lazuli is also another stone great for stutterers. I alternate between these stones for my mild stutter and usually wear one of these crystals in a little silver cage on my chain.  (Submitted by: Katherine on March 10, 2011)
