Hi,

What are good stones for heart palpitations? And nervous system calming? I have had heart palpitations for over a year now. It comes from time to time. I checked with a cardiologist and he did all necessary ultrasonic scans, etc. and told me that my heart physically is perfect but it's related to heart nerves. He said under stress or panic attacks it gets false signals from the brain and that is what causes the heartbeat disorder.


So I'm likely interested to get stones for the heart and overall nervous system — both at the same time. I know that a Ruby is good for the heart, but I also would like to know other good options as well.

It sounds like the heart palpitations are a response/symptom to the stress, nerves and panic, yes?

Let's focus in on the primary cause of the heart palpitations, which would be the stress and nerves. Once this cause is under control, I think you will find that the symptoms (heart palpitations) will effectively decrease.

There are many crystals that can help to decrease stress and relieve tension.

For instance, Chrysocolla is soothing and calming in times of stress, and brings about gentle release. It gently draws off negative energies of all kinds, and can help to calm the emotions.

Blue Calcite calms and soothes frayed nerves and lessens anxieties. It facilitates physical healing by clearing negative emotions and encouraging rest and relaxation.

Lepidolite in my opinion, is one of the best pieces to use in order to reduce stress, release tension, and calm panic and anxiety.

Chlorite in Quartz is a wonderful combination that helps to ease the feelings of panic, fear and recurring anxiety. The Green Chlorite is also a wonderful heart stone, which will help to heal and soothe the rhythms of the heart.

To keep you in a space of peace and tranquility, try carrying Amethyst, Aragonite, Emerald, Rose Quartz, or Blue Lace Agate.

To strengthen the heart, try working with Amber, Amazonite, Red Garnet, or Green Tourmaline.

Choose the crystals that you feel will work best for you and make sure to carry them with you daily in your pocket, etc. When you get home, you may want to pick one or two and sit quietly. A good exercise when feeling that panic (and to practice even when you don't) is to sit in silence. Take a deep breath in (count to 4), hold that breath (count to 4) and slowly release the breath (count to 4). This breathing also releases all of that pent up tension and stress.

Does it work? You bet! I have baffled many a nurse taking my blood pressure by doing this simple breathing technique. It significantly lowers my blood pressure, so much so that they always ask if I have low blood pressure :)

Anytime you feel the stress, panic or heart palpitations, do the breathing. It will help get things to a place of balance for you.

  Heart palpitations are also related to the recent increase in planetary shifts which are said by many Physicists to herald a complete polar reversal eventually. The Shumann Resonance of the Earth's vibrational frequency has usually been calculated at 7.83 cycles. However, since 1987, it has been calculated at being well over 12 cycles. Also, solar flares which have reached a maximum in 2012 also affect the heart as well as other aspects of the human body. The most prevalent symptoms of earth changes and solar flares are anxiety, insomnia, headaches, muscle aches and pains, nausea, dizziness, extreme fatigue, lack of appetite, restlessness, depression, eye strain, inability to focus on reading material for long periods, hormonal imbalances and the heart palpitations already mentioned. There is lots of information on-line about these symptoms, which are being called "Ascension Symptoms" by many. I refer to them as "Planetary Shift Syndrome". As a retired university Professor who became a "Dried Blood Cell Analyst", an "Herbalist" and a "Gemstone Therapist", I recommend wearing a Rose Quartz crystal over the heart chakra. Also, make a "Medicine Bag" in which you daily carry Rose Quartz, Green Jade, Green Aventurine, and Lepidolite. There are two types of "Jade" by the way. Jadeite tends to be very green and clear and has iron in it, while Nephrite tends to be a creamy green which has magnesium and calcium. These minerals are very much needed by the body and help to decrease heart palpitations and give calmness to the entire nervous system. Gemstones are hardened minerals which are formulated over millions of years of heat and pressure in the Earth. Some, however, such as Moldavite and Labradorite,are from asteroids which fell to Earth millions of years ago. Gemstones heal via their vibrations entering our auric field, then our personal vibratory frequency, our meridians, our chakras and our cells.   Mohamad, I too have been diagnosed with palpitations. At night it can be very distressing when you are trying to fall asleep. To add to Kristi's excellent advice, here is what has helped me. Trace your heart meridian in the correct direction to strengthen it. (Donna Eden's book "Energy Medicine" is one excellent reference on meridians, which are the basis for acupuncture.) Here is how to do it: Hold your left arm straight beside your body palm up. Put your right hand over your left pectoral muscle in the chest, and glide up to the shoulder, then down the inside of the resting arm (the side closer to body), ending by sweeping off the little finger. Repeat 10 times and then switch hands and do the other side. Since I started, the palpitations are much less noticeable now. My teacher stressed ALWAYS go in this direction, up chest and down arm, not the reverse. Your gliding hand is a couple inches above the body.
