Crystals for Leadership
By Stephanie Arnold
Often when we think of great leaders, people like George Washington, Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. come to mind. We admire the qualities in them that made them exceptional, and we strive to achieve these qualities in ourselves. All great leaders possess the ability to captivate their followers and earn trust and loyalty through respect. When you find yourself in a leadership position, there are crystals that can help you to enhance these qualities in yourself.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was a gifted speaker. He could captivate a crowd with his charisma. The inspirational crystal Apatite stimulates the Throat chakra, aiding in communication and public speaking. Try using it with Larimar to even further activate your communicative skills. Turquoise is another crystal for the Throat chakra and helps to overcome shyness so you can fully express the truth through communication with others. When feeling nervous before a speech, Blue Kyanite will eliminate any hesitancy and strengthen the voice. As its name suggests, Imperial Topaz is truly a crystal of leaders! This one crystal can bring in confidence, pride and charisma, while maintaining a positive, optimistic attitude. Every leader should carry this golden stone with them.
When expressing yourself to others, it’s important to do so with a positive mental attitude. Amber is a wonderful crystal for positive self-expression and can also relieve any stress. Vibrant blue Aqua Aura Quartz will also help to express what is in your heart through enhanced communication with others. Although artificially created by bonding gold to the surface of quartz, this crystal maintains a high vibration and would be an excellent pendant to wear when giving your next speech.
What courage great leaders must have to be able to guide people! Dumortierite will help you to overcome your fears and hesitations to bring in courage and confidence. This crystal also promotes self-love. Loving oneself first is an important leadership quality, because it brings with it confidence and power from within. Morganite is another crystal of divine love that can help with this and so is Garnet, which is also a confidence booster.
Perhaps we should all consider sending Chrysocolla to our current leaders. Helping people to speak the truth, this stone guides its wearer to wisdom and knowledge. Tanzanite and Aquamarine are two other crystals encouraging truthful communication. They allow you to access the wisdom in your heart. All great wisdom lies within the heart, not the brain. When we reach for this universal wisdom, we are guided to the truth and will notice balance and harmony in our lives as well.
Lapis Lazuli has been a crystal of leaders since ancient times. Egyptian rulers wore this deep blue stone in their jewelry. They also adorned their burial sites with it. King Tutankhamen’s sarcophagus includes inlaid Lapis. Catherine the Great, a Russian Empress, ornamented an entire room with Lapis Lazuli, including a fireplace, walls and even the door. I wish I was able to feel the energy in that room! It must have been truly amazing. It’s not surprising that these leaders chose this stone. Not only does Lapis provide balance, it assists the user with communication difficulties and helps to keep them honest and forthright. Another benefit is that Lapis helps you to express your beliefs without compromising them. Knowing this, we can understand why Lapis was their choice crystal.
The greatest spiritual leaders of the world rely on divine guidance to direct them. No matter their religion or beliefs, all leaders possess the ability to turn to divinity when they need direction in life. You can also access this divine wisdom for guidance. A few crystals that can help you with your divine connection are Alexandrite, Rose Quartz and Lepidolite. Once you have a divine connection established, try using Vera Cruz Amethyst to increase divine communication. When you allow divinity to lead the way, it’s easier to keep yourself in the truth and light.
All people can boost their leadership qualities with the help of a crystal pendant or some stones in their pockets. Ancient leaders understood the value of these energies and used them daily, and we can learn from this example. Who knows, maybe Washington even had some Dumortierite in his coat pocket when crossing the Delaware.
