Hi, I am interested in energizing my water. Can the different gem stones (for different situations) be mixed? Or is it better to stick with one type of gem? Maybe have one type for one carafe of water and another for the second? I would appreciate your reply.

Hi G,

Thanks for reaching out to us. When first starting to charge water with crystals, it can be a good idea to only use one at a time until you know how each crystal will affect you. But once you are comfortable with it, you can combine crystals if you choose to. (You will only need one stone of each type of crystal to effectively charge the water.) If you don’t already have it, I recommend you check out the book Gem Water by Michael Geinger and Joachim Goebel. In this book, they recommend using up to three crystals at a time for charging water and they also provide some “recipes” of crystals to use. One great combination is Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz and Amethyst. When making gem water and elixirs, you should always check the Crystal Cautions to find out if the crystals you are using are toxic. If they are toxic or you are unsure, you should always use the indirect method of charging water and put the crystals outside the glass. I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope your journey is blessed with Love and Light.

Crystal Blessings,

Stephanie A.
