The Octahedron can be described as being made up of two square-based pyramids,
placed base to base. Octahedrons can be found in the natural formations of Fluorite
crystals. Octahedrons can also be used as a meditation aid, either by holding it in
the palm of your hand and/or by studying it and projecting the self into the crystal.
Plato assigned the Octahedron to represent the element of air, and it is said
to help with cleansing and detoxification.
The Octahedron is a polyhedron, made up of eight equilateral triangles that are arranged
around a single point, with six vertices, eight faces, and twelve edges. The
Octahedron is the third most simplest solid that can be created in 3D from the same
equilateral, equiangular polygons, and is one of the Platonic Solids, as defined by Plato
over 2300 years ago (427-347BC). Platonic Solids are all of the three-dimensional
