Astrophyllite

Astrophyllite is a gray crystal with black and copper or golden-copper patterns throughout that radiate outward and resemble starburst-like sprays. The name "Astrophyllite" comes from the Greek "astron" for "star" and "phyllon" for "leaf". Astrophyllite has a greasy, pearly, and slightly metallic luster and ranges from translucent to opaque. In polished form it may have a copper flash.

Astrophyllite helps to release old patterns and programming without any guilt so that forward progress can be made. I purchased a small piece of astrophyllite at a stone shop without any clear idea of why, and later felt moved to place it in an area of my parents' home where there has always been a strong negative energy from a sad and mentally disturbed female spirit who lived in the house for roughly 3 decades in the early 20th century. I hoped it would assist her to move on. I'm not any sort of expert on the subject - I simply do things I feel intuitively, without overthinking them - but the oppressive feeling seems to have faded substantially. I recently found an Astrophylitte in our families creek that runs through our property. it has golden crystal and I was
very surprised to find out what it was considering the main source of the crystals are found in Russia. So my
search is on to find the source which could be difficult since this area was once under a mile thick glacier
during the ice ages. so the source could even have come from Canada. I nor anyone around this area that
I know of have ever found anything like it. I know it must have been meant to be that I found it. (Submitted by: Dinah on November 13, 2013)
